I am the author of "History of Taylor, NY" 1977, and have a transcript of the vital records of Taylor and the marriage of Minnie Smith to Eugene Lewis is not in the 1890s thru early 1900s in Taylor, however my database (over 60,000 names) does include the DeWitt Smith family. (Also, I have Minnie born in Cuyler, not Lincklaen--same dates as you have) Minnie was the daughter of DeWitt Clinton Smith, born 22 Nov. 1850 in Cuyler to George & Maranda Smith. He died 5 March 1921. He married Rosalie Etta Oliver, b. 6 March 1855 in Greene Co., NY (prob. town of Jewett), dau of Alanson & Mary (Lord) Oliver. She died 15 Jan. 1937 and was buried in Preble. They had 11 children:
1. Byron, 1873
2. Minnie, 1875
3. Blanche Alice, 1877, m. & Div. Fred Crandall
4. Clara Belle, 1880, m. Frank Davenport
5. Lizzie Mary, 1883, m. Elmer Weaver
6. Herbert, 1885
7. Inez Mary, 1887
8. Nellie May, 1889
9. Mabel Adell, 1892
10. Edith Rosalia, 1895, m. Lisle Wood
11. Clayton, 1898-1988
I have corresponded with a descendant of this family who lives in Louisiana, but is traveling for the summer. E-mail me and I can send you further. Rosalie's mother, Mary Lord Oliver became the 2nd wife of one of my wife's ancestors.
