The Army Air Corps Historical Record of my late father-in-law, James Gordon Stewart's unit, the 7th Aircraft Maintenance Unit (Floating) is available along with some pictures of the ship and personnel. They were in the western Pacific, including Guam and Tinian in late 1944 and 1945 as part of Project Ivory Soap--a joint Merchant Marine, Army Air Corps effort. The Air Corp Personnel included:

By accident I came across the info on the WWII Pacific. I was surprised to find my father listed - Antoni Jakubosky from Worcester MA. Just a note to let you know he is alive and well at 86 years old, still living in Worcester and wintering in Florida. He is married and has 4 children.

Thanks for letter me know. I'd love to have him look at the Unit's offical history--I can mail it to him on a CD. Its illustrated it with pictures from my late father-in-law and another Unit member as well as related photos from internet sites. It includes pictures of most of the Unit. It will be a week or so--I just updated my operating system and have to replace my CD burning software to make the picture album CD. In the meantime, I can e-mail some pictures if you like.
