Looking for info on Samuel Kinkaid Hallam, born January 30, 1845.....married to Mary Isabel Patrick....They both died in Brownsville, Cameron County, TX.

Samuel was born in Eureka, Woodford County, Illinois. His parents are Salathiel Hallam (b. 1-16-1833 Wilmington, Clinton County, Ohio d. 1-6-1897 Eureka, Woodford County, Illinois) and Eliza Myers (b. 1-1-1834 Marshall County, Illinois d. 2-21-1874 Eureka, Woodford County, Illinois).

Samuel had several brothers and sisters including Charles, John, Iola, Mary, David, Alice and James. Descendents from those family members are active researchers on this list and elsewhere on the Internet.

Like the other Illinois Hallams, Samuel is a descendent of Thomas E. Hallam Here's the line:

Salathiel Hallam & Eliza Myers (see above) Eliza was Salathiel's first wife and he also had several children with his second wife, Melinda Tribel Mahan Clark, including a child with my favorite name in the Hallam clan: Napolean Bonaparte Crawford Hallam.

Although I am not researching the Hallam ancestry, I would love for you to share your information on Samuel. I am researching his wife, Mary Isabel Patrick. I understand how difficult it is to find female ancestors. I have spent approximately 5 years trying to find information about my mother's family and it so exciting that I finally found information about my grandmother and great grandmother in the past two weeks. I now have photographs of her and information about her family when just a short while ago I didn't even know her name. I was fortunate to find researchers online with her maiden name and they have been kind enough to forward the information to me.
