Thank you for replying and giving me the information. I thought maybe I could find some information on my Grandfather, Pawel Jablonsky who was their Chauffer at that time. Maybe they kept somekind of employment documents or a list of employees ? If you should run accross any more information I would appreciate it if you could send it to me.
With great appreciation, Kathleen Jablonsky Parr

Andrew:::: First of all, I am sure that some of the spelling is not correct. From what I understand, my Grandfather Pawel/Paul/Paulus Jablon'sky/Jablonski was the carriage driver for Count Potocki at the Count's Castle. I am typing from the notes I have my Grandfather was born 1878 I don't no where. That is what I am trying to find out but he did indeed work for Count Potocki, I do know according to the notes I have the castle was South of Poland, Lancut , Poland. I believe my grandfather met my grandmother Catharina Kwolek who lived in Winesoot, a poor mining town at that time, outside a country chateau in Galicia. Pawel's fathers name was Andrew Jablo'nsky and his mother was Louise Rochman. Pawel married 1904. I would say that he worked for the Count late 1800's early 1900's. see attachment. After the job with the Count he later went to Schwennberger Farms in Austria and took care of the horses. My Grandfather is the oldest , he is darker looking standing next to him is my grandmother Catharina Kwolek. I hope this helps. I am trying to find out more as to where he was born.
With great appreciation, Kathleen Jablonski Parr

Re: Count Potocki Lancut Poland
Kathleen, The marriage certificate states that they are both native and lived in Lancut (przedmiescie is a suburb of Lancut where they were born and lived according to the marriage cert.). Unfortunately do not have Paulus (Polish = Pawel) son of Andreae (Polish = Andrzej) in my database. I have scattered records and do not know which member is of which family. Even though one is related but far removed. You should write to the diocese of Lancut (as both were Roman Cath.) and see what other records survived. Their details should be on the web.
Please note that in the past it was customary for a “higher” nobles to provide employment for “lesser” nobles even though such employment does not guarantee nobility. Please note that there are/were four different unrelated noble Jablonski families in Poland. To my knowledge their c.o.a. are Boncza, Dabrowa, Jasienczyk and Samson. You need to investigate what family stories remain from the past and whether the knowledge of the c.o.a. remains. Sorry this all I can tell you at this stage.
