I'm looking for any info on the YATES of ASHLEY COUNTY. I don't know if the ones I'm looking for were born and grew up in Ashley Co.,but I do know that Chester and 1 other brother(Ed?)farmed here.I don't know the fathers name,but the mothers name was possibly Mary Olive Yates.The other children were Alice Louise,Jessie Mae,Fannie Myrtle,and Louis.Although I'm interested in all,I'm mainly interested in Alice Louise.I know she ended up in Pine Bluff and Little Rock,married a William Smith,had a daughter named Ella Marie,b.3/20/1913.Marie is now 87 and not in good health.She is wanting a few questions answered.I would appreciate any information at all.Thank you,Dawn

My grandfather and father lived in Ashley County. My grandfather's name was Edd and my father's name was Robert. They were farmers.
