Surnames: Dobbins, Arnold, Bailey, Conley
Calhoun Co. Query List, Dawnetta Gordon, ask for information on these four surnames. Have in my index,
1 Orla Conley, Five Dobbins, Five Bailey's, and Nine Arnolds. Most are connected to the Barr/Sharps Lines. All are related to Amos Beaty Sharps and My Father, Alfred Vance Sharps. To save space, on this list, please email to me some given names and I will connect if possible with mine in the return Mail.

I am looking for the parents and beyond for John A. Moses b4-10-1876 d6-1958 Spouse Eva Russell (?sp). I know that John was orphaned at an early age. I believe his parents names are Xavier Arnold and Katherine Kuehne. What ever you can do would be great. My email is boyzbusymom@netscape.net

I checked my index and found no MOSES and only three RUSSELL, none of which is EVA.
Sorry I can't help on these names.

Amy, are you certain about Xavier's wife's name? Because I found a Xavier Arnold who married a Caroline Kuehn in St Louis, 1866, and a Xavier Arnold who married a Katharina (von) Arburg in St Charles, MO in 1852, plus a Xavier Arnold who married a Catherine Sessig in Calhoun in 1864. All are listed on the LDS website, Xavier could also be spelled Xaver.

I also downloaded some more information about the history of the Moses family in New England. If you are interested, let me know.

Surnames: Lesseg,Christ, Arnold
I am the ggdaughter of Catharina Christ Lesseg who was married to Xavier Arnold in Calhoun Co. Illinois--she had been married before to Hermann Lesseg and after he died she married Arnold--she gave birth to twins and they died at birth and she did too soon after. Her children by her first marriage were Frederik, louisa and Hermann Lesseg adn they were all raised by different families. Frederick was my gfather. Does this clarify anything for youa/

I am the ggdaughter of Catherina Lesseg( believe she might be the one listed in LDS as Catharine Sessig) who married a Xavier Arnold in late 1800's after her husband(Hermann Lesseg died)She had 3 small children, Frederick George(my gf)Herman, and Louisa Caroline--she and Xavier had twins and she and the twins died soon after birth--the three other children were sent to live with other family's. Do you have any other info on Catherine and Xavier--marriage date, death dates or where buried ,would love to hear from you. Sally Lesseg Daley
