I am looking for any information on John Smith. He was living in Creek Nation during the early 20th century and was married to Tillie Mae Wilhite. They had a son named William Aaron Smith who is my grandfather. He was also known as "Haney". Also, his father was John Fryer Smith who was married to a Louisa B. (?). If anyone has any information, it will greatly be appreciated.

Yes he did. She is my great aunt. It is great to hear from someone so soon. Do you have any information on the family?

I will be glad to send it to you.
Are you a citizen of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation?

No I am not a citizen but I do have a card that shows that I am Creek, Chickasaw and Choctaw. I am a citizen of Choctaw Nation at this time. I am considering moving it to Creek Nation because out of all three, Creek seems so profound in their culture and spiritualism. I do have his census card and roll number but I needed some other information concerning his parents. I would like to know who they were such as his mother's last name and where they came from. I just know her as "Louisa B". Do you have any information on his family? Also, I know the general circumstance surrounding his death but the details are sketchy. I would also like some information on that as well. Anything would be a great help.
Thanks so much,
V. Smith

Louisa and John were both citizens of the Tuckabatchee Town (etvlwa). Their children Emma and John were citizens of the same etvlwa.
If you are in Oklahoma and are able to go to the Oklahoma Historical Society, take a look a the pay-rolls for Tuckabatchee.
The 1895 pay-roll and 1890 etc...

I found John F Smith listed on the 1882 Tuckabatchee roll with his brothers Charles and Lewis.

Louisa is not listed but her children Emma and John are listed with a older woman name Metley Cobert.
Louisa could have died after John's birth and would have not been listed in 1882. John was 5 years old in 1882.

Also, have you ordered the testimony for John Smith roll# 5990 from NARA in Ft Worth

Not I haven't ordered anything as of yet. I live in Ada so it is a far trip to OKC. I will soon. You have told me a lot so far that I never knew. I would love to have his testimony or anything that may shed some light on his family. I wished I had asked my grandfather while he was alive but he's been gone for several years now. If you have anything else, please let me know or how I can obtain information from you or the Creek Nation. Do you know anything about the circumstance surrounding his death. I know all about John's mother Tillie Mae Wilhite who was of German descent but lack anything vital pertaining to John.
Thank you so much for the information you have shared. I'll be happy to correspond with you through your e-mail address if that's ok.
Thanks again.

Surnames: Burton, Smith,Doughty,Rhyne
I am not sure you are talking about the same John Fryer Smith who lived in Dustin, Hughes County and was married to Ranie Wills. His mother was Lucinda Yargee and father JOhn G. Smith of Tuckabatchee tribe. His brothers are Louis Napoleon,Charles S. Smith, sisters are Emma Eliza Victoria Smith Burton(my great grandmother),Mary Elizabeth Smith Doughty Rhyne who had an allottment around Eufaula or North Fork Town then. My ggreat grandmother Eliza Smith Burton died May 11,1898 while visiting her uncle George Smith at Wetumka. She became ill and could not cross the river as it flooded and did not come back. Her allottment was sw of Eufaula and part of S. Canadian which I now live on. She married Robert David Burton, a Mason, who was first postmaster of S. Canadian. I have done a lot of research.
