All my family is from Greene Co area. My grandparents were Bartie Kenny Smith (son of Jesse Smith and mary Elizabeth Cooter) and Ida Mae Carter (daughter of Young Carter and Nancy C. Neal?). Looking for info on the Carter line. They also have a connection to the Neal family. My grandmother lived with her aunt and uncle, Frank and Margarget Neal after her parents died somehow. There were 3 others CARTER kids, Dallas, Cora and William. Ida Mae Carter, my grandma is buried in Price Cemetary in Romeo 1947. Thanks to anyone who may have any information.

I am searching for the parents of Crippled Bob and his spouse, Sally Smith? Do you have any knowledge of this couple?

Your Nancy C. Neal is she the daughter of John (bn.abt. 1839)and Martha(bn. abt. 1839) Neal? I have Neal relatives in Greene co. tenn. who descend from Rachel ? Neal her children Parthina, Minerva, William, John, Rueben, George R. and Emmerson(Not sure if he is actually her son or G. Son) I am looking for any info on my neals. Thanks!

You mention "SMITH".
I am trying to identify the parents of a Jane Smith b. abt 1780 NC/TN. She md a John Pennicuff in 1798 in Green Co., TN.
They are in Wayne Co., KY by 1810 & in Overton Co., TN by 1820.

If your research leads you back to Mary "Polly" Carter who married Reuben Hays in Greene Co TN in 1810/1812 I would love to hear from you. She remarried Hiram Fann in Greene Co TN in 1823 and they moved to Southern IL prior to 1840. sploertscher@yahoo.com
