On 15 Sep 1962, in The
Daily Oklahoman, an article appears about the last sheriff of
Day Co., OT. They list Anzley
Ellis as having served as sheriff for the last 2.5 years of Day's existance. The article says Anzley was the son of
Levi Jackson Ellis and both homesteaded land in
Ellis Co.
I am looking for information on the ancestors of Anzley (William Amsbey)
Ellis. Levi's mother may have been Sarah Best or Anna ??. Does anyone have this information?
