Looking for information on an ancestor Peter Swantek, married to Louise ?, according to the 1900 Gaylord census. Peter, aka, Walter died 9/24/1927, Grayling. He had three brothers, John, Bay City, Barney, Saginaw, and Michael.

I'm not related to this family.

He immigrated in 1871 according to the 1900 census.
He should be on the 1880 census.

Thanks. I have the 1900 Otsego Co., census data on Peter Swantek, and his obituary and estate papers when he died in Crawford Co. 1927. It is the missing years of 1871 to 1900, and from 1900 to his death that I trying to locate. Plus, I do not know what happened to his wife, Louise. My research has shown there may have been Polish settlements in the Grayling and Gaylord area. so I am hoping someone who has lived in these areas might have some information to share.

I am Lorraine Esckilsen's daughter Carolyn and I am also doing our family tree. I am searching on my computer every chance I get. I also can't find out any thing about Uncle
Walter/Peter's wife. I did find an article about a Mrs. Michael Swantek who accidently set herself on fire while lighting a lamp, she lived in Gaylord and her husband Michael died three years earlier. She had 9 children. Any chance she is one of ours?
