I am looking for any records or information about Augustus Loudrecius said to be born around 1856 on St Thomas and anything about his father Emile Loudrecius said to be a dentist.

I have his marriage certificate - he married Sarah Jane Woodrow and then they moved to Middlesbrough where descendants still live. His wife, daughter of Daniel Woodrow, was the niece of my gggf Benjamin Woodrow. Her brother Benjamin migrated to Canada.
I've come across abt 10 different spellings of the name, the most common being Ludrecius I think. Everyone in the UK with this name is probably descended from Emile and Augustus.

Hi, thanks for the post.

I also have a copy of Augustus and Sarah Loudrecus's wedding certificate.
Augustus was my great grandfather.
I never met him or my grandfather.
I am trying to find out more about Augustus and Emile.
I think Emile was a dentist on St Thomas in 1856 when Augustus was born.
Were there any siblings?
When did Augustus come to Britain as there is no record of him on the 1881 cencus.
Any information would be interesting.

Thanks for replying. It seems you've got back as far as I have - I have nothing on any Augustus siblings and don't know how to go about researching this part of the Caribbean.
There's another Caribbean connection in the marriage of Elzina Ludrecius to Benjamin Greenidge who was from Barbados.
We must be vaguely related through the Woodrows.
I've tracked some of the descendants through the 20th century but a lot is missing: I can't find anyone descended from Eliza Browne Ludrecius (1885), Clara Maud Ludrecius (c1890), Frederick A G Ludrecius (1906) or Clifford Ludrecius (1919)or what happened to these individuals.
If you could help with these I'd be grateful.
I'm not sure if I've got anything to offer in return but if you want to see what I have you might like to give me an email address for me to send it to.
Mine is martinwhit@hotmail.com
