Have marriage of PETER KING to HANNAH RAWLS in Robertson Co. 11 Oct 1896 Bk. 12, Pg. 121. KING families in both Brazos and Robertson Co's. Do you per chance know if this is your RAWL family and if so what KING family PETER descends?

Looking for information on the families of JOHN WADE RAWLS & wife ISABELLA J. BROWN; MOLLIERAWLS & husband RANSOM COLE.
these families went into BRAZOS county, TEXAS in the early 1840's to 1850's and relatives should still reside there.

Bobby, Don't know if this will help but my family has Mollie Rawles as possibly born in 1858 married to Noah Cole son of Agatha Bostwick and Ransom Cole. Ransom lived in Bryan Brazos County, Texas with his daughter Georiana Cole and her husband John Bickham. If this is any help I have other information. Terrie

In 1860 John W Erwin lived with your Bickham family in Brazos Co., TX. I believe he is my wife, Nancy Gail Erwin Hudson's, g-grandfather. The link is that the age is right and John W Erwin's mother was a Bickham from LA. We had no idea that he lived in Texas at this time since he went to the Civil War in LA and lived in Caddo Par., LA, after the Civil War before moving to Cass Co., TX.

I have a little info on the Bickham family, but most of mine is on the Coles. Georgia Cole married John Wood Bickham on January 16, 1851 in Cass Co. Texas. Her family was supposed to have been in Caddo Co. but I have not found any real proof. They had 4 children according to my records. But my research is incomplete. Hope this helps. There is a Bickham cemetery in Brazos Co. Texas. That is were most of my family was buried. Terrie

My family had origins in Caddo. Family settled in Frankston, Texas. RT Erwin, Changed to "Artee" by the military in WW I, maried Edith Campbell.

Can you tell me if you may know anything about this Cole family being slave owners? Ransom Cole was the owner of Joe Cole b. 1850 La.who later moved to Cass, TX. then to Bryan. I am trying to find Joe's parents and siblings. Just wondering if any of the Cole family may have mentioned slaves in thier Wills or probate records.
