Comments Left on Members Tree

When I leave a comment on a member's tree, is that member notified that a comment was left on his tree?

I just got to thinking that if they weren't notified, it might be years (or never) before they would look at that particular individuals page.

Yes, if the system is working correctly, they will get a notice that a comment was posted (doesn't mean they will read it or do anything about it, of course . . . .)

For more than a year I have not received any type of notification about comments. What I have started doing is periodically checking for comments left. Last night I found several on the 4 different trees that I maintain. I sent polite messages thanking the message poster for corrections.

Usually where I see it is in the member connect activity on the home page, although I do (sometimes) get an e-mail alerting me that a comment has been posted.
