I have a John Cobb who is earlier than yours in Orange County, New York. there were many Cobbs there and John was frequently used. Try the Orgnage County Genealogical Society. I got a lot from their newsletter. What town in New York was your John from. Can you estimate date of birth?

Hi Julie, I just started the Cobb family. My son married a Bryanne Cobb from Irvine,CA. Her father and grandfather were both named John Cobb from New York. This is all I have. I have info on Racine, St Germain, Menard, Gauthier all from the Quebec area migrated to CT, RI, MA. I am also looking for an Eusebe Lafleur in the Fitchburg, MA area about 1880-1920 time frame.

My Cobb family was settled in and around Orleans and Niagara Counties. My 4xgreat grandfather was John Cobb Sr, born in England and died in Medina, Niagara County in April of 1875.
