I AM LOOKING FOR INFO ON BENJAMIN FRANKLIN CHILDERS AND HIS WIFE CARRIE (CAROLYN) E. CHILDERS. THEY MOVED TO THE ETOWAH & BLOUNT
COUNTY AREA AFTER 1883. . I BELIEVE THEY LIVED NEAR ATTALA. I HAVE INFO ON THEM BEFORE THEY CAME TO ALABAMA. BUT LOSE THEM THERE. I AM TRYING TO POSSIBLY FIGURE OUT WHERE THEY MIGHT BE BURIED. BENJAMIN DIED, JANUARY 28, 1892. LATER I FIND CARRIE ON A 1900 CENSUS FOR BLOUNT CO. LIVING WITH HER SON FELTON. I DO NOT KNOW WHEN SHE DIED. BUT I HAVE AN OBIT FROM CHATTANOOGA,TN. LISTED IN THE OBIT FOR HER SON AS STILL LIVING , THAT WAS SEPT. 24, 1910. WOULD APPRECIATE ANY HELP OR GUIDANCE. ALSO, I CANNOT

Hi! I am working on a Childers genealogy since I retired, and I saw your message on Anthology.com from back in 2004. Benjamin F Childers and Electa Carrie Brown were my great grandparents. I have extensive Childers info including that which you wanted if you are still interested and do not already have it.

I have been searching for some info on Childers for several years. Around Deklab & Cherokee,Etowah Co's. I do not know the first name of the Mr. Childers. His wife was Martha Emeline (Banks) Mitchell,Childers from Franklin Co Tn. She was first marrid to Danial Mitchell in Winchester,Franklin Co.TN. Had four children there in TN. John,Nancy Mary Jane and Lucy Mitchell. Martha was found on an 1880 census in Dekalb Co whree all but one of her Mitchell children were married and living there. She had three new children by Childers. Eliza,William and Kate Childers. Does any of these names mean anything to either of you? If so please contact me at lindsaybnc@bellsouth.
