i haven't searched in chippewa county yet. i always thought they resided in delta county, i really want to know what happened to moses macabee. i have a roll in 1909 which he is not listed with the rest of the family. he is a gt grand father to me.madeverney@aol.com

i find more about macabee in chippewa county. in the 1909 durant roll census this family is as follows: MACKBEE, Mary 44 f TRA 4270 Ref:12-37 Res: Ogontz

[Rosie dau 15 f 4273]
[Eva dau 12 f 4274]
the list does not include Moses, so I'm interested to know where and what happened to him by 1909. note the spelling of this name in the Durant Roll of 1909. Ogontz is in delta county near ensign and nahma michigan.

I have a Lambert McAbee/Mcaby born about 1818 Detroit, married 29 Aug 1841 Green Bay, Brown Co., WI to Sophia LaVigne and died about 1850 at Green Bay. Any connection to your people? I have info to share. Linda

Im not sure...were they native american??? Ive never heared of them. Moses Macabee was my Grandmothers grandfather. He married and had childeren and that name doesnt match any of theres unless they were a decsendent of the childeren which is definately a possibility.
