My gr-gr-grandparents JOSEPH STANALAW CASPERON SYRUNOWICZ and BENIGNA STANISLAWUNA SIEMIONOWICZ were born of noble families in Russia. However they owned a large parcel of land in Lithuania, Kielmy, called "Goniprowo". It is believed the land was a gift from Peter the Great.My gr-grandmother always insisted that she was Polish, though American records show her to have been born in Russia. I do believe some of her siblings were born in Poland however.

My father Wieslaw Syrunowicz was born in 1929 in Lithuanian Kowno but his nationality was Polish. My grandfather Witold Syrunowicz was a Polish teacher in Kowno. I have a family tree of the Syrunowiczes and the coat of arms of my Syrunowicz ancestors.

Olga- can you send the crest you have? We only have a description of the COA. We are trying to track down our ancestors on Syrunowicz.
