Death of an Old
SettlerF. G. Hill, one of the oldest settlers of
Macon county, died at his home near
Boody last evening. He was born in
Virginia on September 19th, 1800, and is therefore nearly 85 years old. He came to
Illinois in 1827 and has lived ever since on the farm where he died. His wife died nearly forty years ago. His surviving children are Robt. and J. E. Hill and Mrs. E. McDaniels, Mrs. J. F. Muirhide and Mrs. J. Widick. The deceased has been sick for three weeks. The funeral will take place to-day at 2 o'clock from the brick church in
Boody, Rev. W. L. Bankson, officiating.
