I am hoping that someone can help me out.
I have just found out that Clarence O. HINES
and his family moved to Villa Nova.
This was about 1936..
Then moved to Brantford.. I think that the
year was 1940 where Alice Edna [his wife]
passed away. Her maiden name was HOPCRAFT..
Any help on this family will be greatly
appriciated..Thanks..
Meryle

Hi, my grandmother's maiden name is Hopcraft. She lived in Ontario, near Timmins, and also Buck Lake. She was one of 19 children, and I know she had a sister named Alice.

I bless you for your search.

I believe you are speaking of the Ernest Clarence branch of the family. Have you reconnected yet?

Hi

I think some of you may be confused. Alice was one of 18 children not 19. My great grandfather was Clarence - who was Alice's twin brother. And Buck Lake - which I am very familiar with - is not close to Timmins, sorry. It is a smallish lake close to Huntsville in the Muskokas. If you have questions, type and I will answer them. TY

Also,

Ernest Clarence Hopcraft was Alice's father, and my great grandfathers father - as they were twins in this family of 20 - 18 kids.

To summerkingsley,

Just came onto this post. Your side of the Hopcraft family is
the John Sheriff and Eliza(Camplin)Hopcraft side..
John Sheriff was the brother to Wallace Frost Feargus O'Conner..I think this is where the mixup is coming into play, as Samuel Henry was the son of Wallace and he had a daughter named Alice who married Clarence O. Hines...(my grandfather..
In the info that I have there were 18 children in that family..I figure that by now you have all this info but thought I would send it along anyway...
