Hi You know that family arrived in Canada 1908 1911
Have you searched 1916 Census - to see where they located?

Sofia Catharina LIMINKA b. Oct 1886 -Sweden
Karolina Wilhelmina LIMINKA b. Dec 1846 -Sweden
Amanda Olivia LIMINKA b. Aug 1893 -Sweden

Do you know the reason the family moved from Sweden to Canada - to Saskatchewan ?
Were there other family members here ?
Do you know if the daughters married in Sask ?

Hi Stella
As far as I know they were the first emigrants to Canada in the family and why they came to Sask is beyond me.I have searched the 1916 census without any luck.I guess the daughters were already married.I posted on this board in hope of someone would know of the Liminka name since it is very unusual.

I have found Karolina in the 1916 census. She lived in Saltcoats.A son Isak William
came to Canada 1902 but he did not use the Liminka name but Isackson.Sweden at the time used the patronymic name system. His father was Isak Liminka.I am going to start a new thread on the Yorkton board.
