I'm wondering if anyone knows any personal/family details of Napoleon's General, Augustin de Lespinasse, or can tell me where I might be able to find this information? My GGGG grandfather Francois Espinasse was the son of an Augustin de L'espinasse and I'm trying to find out if it is Augustin, Napoleon's General, or someone else of the same name. Francois' mother was Marie de la Grange and we think he was born around 1788-89.

I'm also interested to know if there's anywhere I can find records of French POWs in Scotland during the Napoleonic Wars as we believe that Francois Espinasse was imprisoned in Scotland during this time.

Any information or assistance would be appreciated.
