Hello, Did you ever get a reply on your post as I would really appreciate learning where I could find this information.

I am looking for KEYT or SCOTT family in Penang. I believe they first went there in abt 1870 and were certainly there until at least 1942

Many thanks
Nikki

Jame Alice is actually buried in the Old Catholic Section of the Northam Road Cemetery. I'm hoping to learn her maiden name as well as her husband's name, I only have his initials.

CORRECTION:
Old Catholic Section, Northam Road Cemetery
(Originally thought Penang Old Protestant Cemetery)

Jane Alice (Unknown) McIntyre, d 13 Jan 1891
C.A. McIntyre, husband, dates unknown

Thank you in advance

Have you tried the BACSA site?

I found it useful for people buried in the Western Road Protestant cemetery in Penang:

Good Luck

Hello Sue

This sounds very promising!!! My great grandmother's name was Edith Charlotte REGINA and one of her son's names was FREDERICK Charles.

Do you know where Jane was born? Or her husband's name (C A). I'd be very interested in pictures and learning anything about her. I have some pictures of Edith, she was beautiful.

According to a newspaper notice, C.A. and Jane had eight children, five girls and three boys.

Look forward to hearing from you, wish I could get to Penang myself....

Finally!!! And I was just about to give up and let my ancestry membership lapse...

Will e-mail you a picture of Edith, I believe it was taken when she and my ggf, William were married.

Story has it that she, Hannah and Hilda were the three most attractive local girls and all three married teachers. I haven't been able to confirm that, not for lack of trying.

Doing the dance of joy!!! Look forward to comparing notes.

J

Funny, I had looked at the Stewarts a while back...
