Florida DeVanes, particularly those who descend from Benjamin Franklin
DeVane, 1796. This Benjamin was born in
Bladen Co, NC, later moved to Lowndes Co,
GA, then
Quitman Coo,
GA,
Madison &
Taylor counties, FL, then finally to Plant City,
Hillsborough Co, area. He had 6 sons, all who fought in the Civil War:
