Seeking info about Marjorie Carter and J. Wayne Horton. They were married in Greene Co, AR in 1940. It's possible that Marjorie may still be living, she would be in her mid 80's.

I would appreciate any info, or even making contact with Marjorie or her family.

Hi there,
I just stumbled upon this thread. Those are my grandparents. Grandma Horton passed away from stomach cancer in the early 70's. 1974 if I remember correctly. Grandad passed away in 2003, also from cancer, he was 92.

An interesting tidbit for you.according to our oral history...Marjorie's ancestors were German and arrived in the US just before the Civil War. Her name should be Karter with a K. However, in order to blend better in society I suppose, he changed his name to Carter with a C. This same man also fought for the Confederacy. I don't know what is first name was.
