I bought a 1829 Bible in an antique store. It has family information on the Ross and Davis families. Bemsley Davis married Hannah Ross, b. March 7, 1792. There is information on their children and on the parents and siblings of Hannah. If you are a descendent of Bemsley and Hannah Davis, I would be happy to send you copies of these pages from the Bible. Send your home address please.

There should be reference to a Josiah Davis who married a Susan (or Susie ) Davis. They had 3 boys and 1 girl. One of the boys was William (my hunbands grandfather), one of the other boys was Alarith (bad spelling). I am doing this from memory, I do not have my notes in front of me. If these names appear in the Bible, I would very thankful if you would share with me.

Sorry but I don't believe there is a connection. The Bible shows the family of Edwin Davis, b. Jan. 20, 1813 and Eliza Ross Davis, b. Feb 21, 1822. The names you mention are not in the family.

There probably isn't a match. No location is given in the Bible but we know the person they are all decended from, Bemsley Davis, was born in Massachusetts. I don't see the name you mention in your message. Tom

What are the dates for Bemsley Davis? I have my 5th ggrandfather Simon Davis b.sept 5th 1757 in Greenwich Mass, and have reached a deadend. His decendents are Silas L, in VT, Silas A, , Alonzo, in OH, Albanus in Wis, and on to KS , then Ia.

According to Internet info, Bemsley Davis was born in MA on 23 April, 1789. His parents were Nathen and Marancy Davis. Other brothers and sisters of Bemsley were Alford, Foster, Frances, Luther, Polley, and Theodatia. Sorry, I don't see any of the names you mention.
