I have a query. What I need is a copy of: the marriage certificate for: Hazel Yvonne Leaman born 27/07/1901 Moncton Parish, New Brunswick, Canada - married Robert Tilleston Gannett born 12 May 1893 Cambridge, Ma., USA. They married perhaps in Boston or somewhere nearby in Mass. USA. My mum thinks the wedding may have been 02/1946, but not positive, but in any event in the 1940's. I would like to know specifically who Hazel Leaman's father's name was. Thanks for any help.

Also if possible I would like to know when they died. Thank you.

If they married in Mass., then you have to join that rootsweb list and ask someone in Mass. for help, you won't find anything in NY. There are rules also about the time frame you can get that information, (in NY) and a marriage is 50 years, I think, after the marriage occured, death's are 50 years, and birth's are 75. If it was posted in a newspaper, you are in luck.

There is no national registration of births, marriages, and deaths in the U.S. Therefore, you need to know where someone was married or died to obtain the records in question.
