Looking for connections to Hills or Arnolds in Gibson County, TN.

My ancestor, John Elmer Spurgeon Hill, (J.E.S. Hill), was second cousin to Elmer Arnold who was a pharmacist in Trenton, Gibson County, TN. Their families often visited in 1910-1935. I am not sure how they are related.

Elmer Arnold's children were Elmer Fr. and Nancy and Frances.

I suspect another Hill relative, Rhodie Hill married John B. Arnold in Retherford County in Jan 28,1840, then moved to Gibson County.

What is the source of your information for this marriage between Martha KIMBRO and Mosco ARNOLD before 1850 in Gibson County, TN ?

I will only be tracking the Arnolds back to about 1830, and have not gotten much on them yet in Gibson County. I will make note of your Arnold and let you know if I come accross anything.

How far back have you traced you ARNOLD line? I have a Martha KIMBRO that married Mosco ARNOLD before 1850 in Gibson County, TN. Any connection?

All of my information was obtained by my great aunt, Cornella Morrison DAVIDSON (1896-1997). Martha KIMBRO was her great aunt. Three DAVIDSON boys married three ARNOLD girls, so we think these DAVIDSON boys may have been related to the DAVIDSON line she married into.

The only ARNOLD I have is Musgrove (1825-1873) that married Martha Ella KIMBRO. All these events took place in Gibson County, TN.
I am also interested in his daughter,Retta ARNOLD that married Riley MITCHELL.

I have no information on my father's (Rodger Lee Arnold)family. My Grandfather and Great Grandfather lived in Ohio but I understand from my Mother that there were relatives in TN. I have no idea if it would be Gibson County or not. My Grandfather, John E Arnold, married Bessie Star Houser, from Ohio and his father John Nallie Arnold lived with them before he died. Any information would be appreciated.

Do you have any information on a Jane Arnold, sometimes spelled as "Arnol," who married James W. Alford on 5 February 1850 in Gibson Co.
I have very little on their children. They had a son named William T. Alford, born ca.1853, who married Eliza Callie Curry in 1877. Strangely,
neither Jane nor this son William T. are shown on the 1860 Census with J.W. Alford, but there are several other children: George 10, Celia 8, Nelson 7, Mary 6, and Bettie 3.
Though the Alfords don't seem to have migrated to Izard Co., AR, very most of their Richardson and Brightwell relations had moved over there by the time of the Civil War, and I do know that there are many Arnolds in Izard Co., too, though I don't knwo whether they had gone there from Gibson Co.
I will appreciate very much hearing from you if you have any more information on this part of the Arnold family.

Rhoda Hill was a brother to to D F (Doc) Hill as well as my GGrandfather John (Jack) Hill. There were 10 children in all according to their fathers will. John was married to Susan Arnold. Will be glad to share further info with you
