Looking for someone living in or near Bijou Hills. The town was named after someone in my wife's family and I'm trying to see if there's any historical information on him (Louis Bissonet dit Bijou)

Hi, Apparently Bijou Hills was named for the Bijou quartzite found in that area and others. Search for "Revision of the geology and paleontology of the Bijou Hills, South Dakota'. The site takes a few minutes to open.

My husband is descended from Joseph Bissonette also. We looked for his grave at the Red Cloud Cemetery this weekend but couldn't find it. Do you know if he is buried there for sure and if his headstone is maybe in disrepair that it is not findable? We had really been hoping to find his headstone and get a pic. Interested in any info on him.

Hi, I don't know for sure where Joseph Bissonette is buried at. I can only guess that he's buried at the Red Cloud cemetery. Also, I had added him to find a grave so that maybe someone that knew his burial location is might contact me.
