I am searching for the ancestors of P.H. Earp b. 1814 TN. He was married to Nancy Mahala Kennedy. They had 3 children, Asa, Josiah & James, and were in Cedar Co. in 1850. I believe his father may have been Josiah Earp.
I also have Skaggs Ancestors who lived, and are buried around Crocker, MO

I believe your Earp member may be Phillip Hawk Earp, born about 1816 in TN and died about 1854 in MO. His father was Josiah Earp, born about 1790 in Ireland and died between 1840 and 1850. His mother was Martha Patsy Davidson and she married Josiah Earp on 12-26-1815 in Rhea County, TN. Josiah and Martha's children were: Phillip Hawk, Napolean B., Lucinda, John Clark (my line), Martha Jane, Maston, Elizabeth, Arlene, Francis, and Burrell. Josiah and his family came to MO in about 1829 settling in the Miller Co. area. Hope this helps!

Hi Gene:
Thanks so much for answering my message. I believe the Phillip Hawk Earp you mentioned is my ggg-grandfather. He married Nancy Mahala Kennedy also born in TN. What I have been trying to do is find facts. I have only found him in the 1850 Cedar County, Missouri Census, and the bible of his son Josiah where it list his name as Hawk Earp. If you know where I might find information on him I would really appreciate your help. Do you know if Rhea County, TN is where they came from? I believe Phillip's sister Martha Jane married Asa H. Kennedy. Phillip's son James is my gg-grandfather. He died at Osage Iron Works, MO. He was stabbed. Phillip's son Asa was also killed in a fight on the way to a meeting. The man who killed him was a Burns, which is the maiden name of my gg-grandmother Mary, James wife. My grandmother would not talk about the Earps and Burns. She thought they were mean people, so I have no information on either family. Again, I appreciate your time.

Hi Cheryl,
Thanks so much for replying. The Josiah that is buried in the Binger Cemetery is a brother to my James Earp, they are sons of Phillip H. & Nancy Mahaley Kennedy Earp.
I live in Binger, and know lots of Josiah's descendants.
Thanks again,
Karen
