HY-Mary E. (nee Ash) Hy, 78, of Tonawanda, unexpectedly Monday (December 30, 1985) at DeGraff Memorial Hospital. Born in Buffalo, she had been a resident of Tonawanda for more than 40 years and was the wife of Nicholas P. Hy who died in June of 1985. Mrs. Hy was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. June Lindhurst of Kenmore, Mrs. Dorothy Kurtzworth of Tonawanda and Mrs. Eugene (Patricia) Zastrow of the Town of Tonawanda; a brother, Stephen Ash of Buffalo; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Wednesday and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at John O. Roth Funeral Home, Inc., Morgan and William Sts., Tonawanda where services will be held Friday at 9 o'clock a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Francis of Assisi Church at 9:30 Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery.
