Muttaburra records

An exciting find today by chance. A relative, Louisa Elizabeth Bamberger, born 1856 in England is buried at Muttaburra Cemetery in 1890. The record I found of her burial shows she was the mother of Florence Louisa Taylor b13/12/1882 (Father Frank Taylor) and Charles Leopold Bamberger b2/02/1885.
Can someone tell me how/where I can find more information on any of these people please.
Haven't had to research Australian records as all previous history was England
Thanks for any help
Lorraine

All I can find from the Qld BDM records 1829-1914 is (and I checked alternate spellings of the names):

Bamberger Charles Leopold Birth Louisa Elizabeth Bamberger 02 02 1885 1885/ 000147

Bamberger Louisa D Bamberger 1890-02-17 1890/ 000006

There is no record of the birth of Florence, nor of any marriage of Louisa. As you see, the father of Charles is not noted on his birth record, nor are Louisa’s parents noted on her death record. There may be more information on the actual certificates, which you can order through http://www.justice.qld.gov.au/bdm/forms.htm

Thank you so very much for replying. This was such an important find for me. Her father is my great grandfather and every relative has been in England. I think Lady Luck was on my side today!
Do I assume correctly that the reference numbers 1885/000147 and 1890/000006 are all I need to get the certificates?
I have tried finding a marriage in England and also the birth of Florence in England but no luck so far. It is possible that those records have not yet been transcribed
I have also noticed in reading posts on QLD RootsWeb that you help an awful lot of people. There's a lot of happy people thanks to your work and I just want to say a BIG thankyou!
Best wishes,
Lorraine

No problem - glad to help. If you download a form from the website I gave, you will see that, strangely, there is no place to put the reference number.

Perhaps someone here can clear this up - is it true that it's cheaper if you include the reference number? If so, where do you squeeze it in? Is it also true that you need to state on the form that you want the names of the parents included, otherwise they may not do so?

I'm glad you asked the question! I was puzzled when I downloaded the form. I am used to ordering UK certificates where you can put in the references which saves time and money! Hopefully someone will have an answer or perhaps I should email them and ask the question. I will wait a bit and see if there are any responses

I notice that Judy Webster (http://www.judywebster.gil.com.au/tips-qld.html) says that there is no discount for quoting the reference number, although others I have spoken to say there is - I'd like the registry to confirm the true story (particularly since the issuing of certificates has changed departments).

Judy also notes that you need to specifically ask for the marriage details of the parents to be included, so it would help if this could be confirmed also.

Thanks Olivia
I will send them an email to get clarification and if I get a reply will post the info so that others can have it for future reference

Surnames: Bamberger
The Qld state archives site has a land listing for a Louis Bamberger. Do an easy search on the site and it will turn up the record details.

Anne,
Thank you for that info. Do I read it correctly that it relates to a record in 1753?
