I am looking for Elijah Brown who was listed in Lauderdale Co. Al. Census 1850.Elija Brown 40 Tn. Laborer,Eliza Brown 21 Tn.,Samuel Brown 19 Tn.,Elizabeth Brown 13 Tn., Rufus Brown 9 Tn.,Newton Brown(my line) 5 Al. If anyone knows about any of these families please share infomation with me. I have info. on Newton and Rufus they married sisters Newt married Lizzie Barnes and Rufus married Cynthia Barnes.My great grandfather was Mathis"Mack" Spears Brown son of Newton and Lizzie.Macks son Jewel Brown married Jural White my grand parents.Jurals parents were Cheatham Bob White and Kate Foust. Cheatham White parents were John Wesley White and Adaline Hall. John Wesley was son of William Clark White and Eliza Wilkerson. Clark was son of William White Jr. Kate Foust was dau. of John Wesley Foust and Amy Ann Curtis.Back to Elijah Brown would like to know when and where he died and is buried. Some family member says he thought that he was some times called Cephus.Elijah was said to have lived in Mississippi and Tn. and Al. does anybody out there know about Elijah and his children?? I belive that he may have had more than one family.Don't know for sure, can anyone tell me? I can find Elijah Browns but without middle name don't know which one is mine please help me if you know anything that can help.It almost seems as though he had something to hide, no records of him that I can find. Could he have been Indian and trying to stay ahead of The Trail of Tears movement?? If you know help me solve this puzzle. Thanks for anything, will share my family info on what I have.

Darlene my father was Ben Evans son of Eddie and Willie Moore Evans from Cherry Grove in Limestone Co. Al. They are buried in Evans Cemetery @ Goodsprings Al

My great great grand parents were James Evans and Mary Elizabeth Lyles, they are buried at the Athen cemetery.
Mt grand mother was Willie Mae Evans she had a brother name Edward Nelson Evans. Is he in your family line?
She is buried at the Roselawn Cemetery, Alabama nest to her brother James or Edward

I'm from the Rufus branch. His daughter, Mattie Lee, was my great-grandmother. She had a son, Lawrence Lee Brown who married Katherine Hargrove. Their son, Billy Lee Brown, is my father.
I know what you mean abt having something to hide. I can't find them either.
