William G Jones's parents were Mary Susan Givhan and Samuel F Jones. I suspect the G of his middle name is Givhan.

Thanks for the information. I had been told that W G Jones father was also named William but I had come across some info in the Mexican Parish records that showed Samuel F Jones as his father. What is your connection to this family?

Samuel F Jones was married to Eleanor A Vasser prior to his marriage with Mary Susan Givhan. Both Eleanor and a child died. The Givhans and Vassers intermarried.
