Eduard OTTO and Luise SCHMIDT were born around 1875 somewhere in East Prussia (I wish I knew where)! They married and moved to Berlin around 1900. Luise was the youngest of a large family - her sister Wilhelmina SCHMIDT also moved to Berlin with her husband. I believe their father was a Schneidermeister (tailor). That's all I know. Does anyone know of them and where they came from?

Thank you! Eduard was a Schlachtermeister. I know that Eduard and Luise had one son, born in Berlin in 1901 - he was my grandfather.
My problem is that I would like to trace my ancestors in East Prussia but because I don't know where Eduard and Luise came from (and I don't know how to find out) this is difficult.
I am in touch with may family and they have no further information.

In 1900 and 1901 Eduard OTTO, Schlachtermeister, lived in Berlin, Ritterstrasse 108, Ground Floor (PT)

As you know that your grandfather was born in Berlin,than I assume, that you know his exact date of birth. So you should contact the Berlin civil registry office. In the entry about his birth, you will also find information about the parents of the child,Eduard and his wife, and with luck, the grandparents of the child are also mentioned, and also, where the parents and grandparents originate from
