Looking for info on the following;
Joseph Carpenter & his wife Susan moved from Kansas to Jack County, TX sometime between 1876 & 1880.
Children known to have been with them would have been in 1880 - Jerome, abt. 13yr., Josephine, abt. 10yr., Lottie, abt.6yr. Josephine is said to have married a Dunlap, then a Swan. It is believed that the mother Susan died between 1880 & 1900, that Joseph was still alive in 1900, still living in Jack County. He would have been abt. 80yrs. Any info on this family would be greatly appreciated.

Jerome Carpenter, 12 years, born in Illinois
Joseph Carpenter, age 60, born in Canada
Susan Carpenter, age 49, born in Vermont
Josephine Carpenter, age 10, born in Kansas
Lottis Carpenter, age 6, born in Kansas

I am also researching the Joseph and Susan Carpenter line. They went from NY to Will County, IL to Bourbon County/ Crawford County, KS to Jack County, TX, and travelled with other familes by the name of WARNER, MARSHALL, etc..which are allied lines of the Carpenters (or Carpentier, Charpentier due to their Candadian French heritage). The children I have for Joseph and Susan are:
Susan, Louisa, Levi, louis, Sardinia (Sarah), Gustavas, Jerome, Joseph, Josephine, and Charlotte (Lottie).

I am also searching this line.. I believe we are in the same line here. My GGrandmother was Charlotte Carpenter and GGrandfather was William Carpenter.. My Grandfather was Elmer Carpenter born July 7th, 1886

Hi Faye, The names you mentioned are not part of this Carpenter line. This Charlotte Carpenter married William Dill and Thomas Strickland. Wish there would have been a connection. Take Care, Kathleen
