I'm looking for information on the parents of William Ransome JONES (born Oct 1, 1825 in Georgia). Ransome married Elizabeth Wallace (Wallis) and moved to DeKalb County where they died. I have found out that Ransome JONES is the son of George W. JONES (born in SC) and Maria CALDWELL (born in NC), but I need more concrete information. Would like to know the names of all G.W and Maria's children; and where and when GW and Maria died. I will be grateful for any information.

I have just started really getting into this and I am related to Ransome Jones. I can only go back as far as Thomas Jones born in 1770 ish & married to Jane Caldwell. Im not 100% sure this correct bc his son George Jones also married a Caldwell. Do you have any info on this and anything further? Many Thanks, Tricia

I'm sorry I don't have any further information on this. I do know that often cousins married, so this may be the case. If I find out anything else, I will let you know. Too bad not many records were kept of daughters.
