Oliver Gilliland. I was up at the
Nichols Library in
Gadsden and found a form Burrel filled out in 1921 like it was for a biography of his son...whether in some book or newspaper I don't know. It said "picture enclosed," and I'm hoping a picture still exists that a family member will be kind enough to share it with me. I want to do a special write up for the book/website I'm planning that will include him. The only picture I have right now is the one on his tombstone which is faded beyond recognizing his face, though you do see his
Navy uniform pretty clearly. (He died on 7 Oct 1918 at Norfolk Naval Hospital from pneumonia.)
If anyone can help with this request, I'd greatly appreciate it.
