Any information on these families in Greene County or surronding communities of Peach Orchard, Delplaine, Corning, Pochahontas Arkansas. I need a place to start. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have a Bettie Gates in your data base? She was the wife of my great grandpa Daniel C. Anderson. I believe his second marriage, maybe her third. Know anything of the Andersons from Peach Orchard? Aunt Zelia May Anderson was a school teacher in Delaplaine and her daughter, Cousin Ruth Ann Anderson Smith, taught in Paragrould for years. Pls and thanks.

My Gates family lived in Delaplaine. The Jacob R. Gates family moved there in about 1879 from Metropolis, Massac Co. Il.
Let me know who your Gates are and I will see if they match with mine.

The names you mention do not ring a bell, but may have been before or after I lived in the area.

My grandparents were John William David Gates and Margarett Gates. Both originally from Randolph Co. Grandpa was the son of Michael C. Gates of the O'Kean/ Pocahontas area. Mom tells me there was another Gates family in Delaplaine not connected to us...but I have to wonder??? Have been away from my research for a time, sorry to take so long to check. I have Gates from all around Walnut Ridge area also.
