I have just seen this post below quite by chance on the internet!

I am in touch with the Matthews family and know the Carey history pretty well. I am writing a book about them, and have already published a little book, mainly about the Millers (Ellen was the daughter of Rev Hewett Carey and Harriett Martha Miller).

I hope you get this OK, and do please let me know what it is you might like to know!

PS - I am in New Zealand from 9/8 to 11/9!

Surnames: Mathews, Dennis
Hi Dianne,

My g grandmother was Alice Maud Mathews born 1868 died 1936 and her father was James Mathews and her mother was Maria Dennis. (Note the one T in Mathews - which could be an error). I have their names from her birth certificate, however, I can find no record of them in WA via the index. Any suggestions at this stage? Any links with you? You might have guessed that I am new to this.
