FTM2014 and Windows 10 (64-bit)

To add to the existing discussion, my experience coincides with those who said FTM2014 opens, but, upon attempting to open a family tree, crashes.

Here's a small excerpt from the application error in the Windows Logs:

Message : One or more exceptions occurred while firing the topic 'OpenFtmFile'
Source : Microsoft.Practices.CompositeUI

FTM2012 does open and allows opening a family tree. I didn't attempt synchronizing, as, for now, I am already synchronized with my FTM2014 family tree.

In addition, upon attempting to access www.ancestry.com using the new browser in Windows 10, Edge, it advises that the browser is currently incompatible, that they are working on it, and asks that you use Chrome or Firefox for now instead.

Although I could revert back to Windows 7, I don't think it's worth it to me. My FTM copy is mostly just a local backup for me and I could use FTM2012 until they work out the issues with FTM2014.

P.S. - Couldn't find how to reply to the existing thread--only how to start a new thread.

So where exactly does Ancestry object to the Edge browser? I am currently viewing my tree using Edge. It seems a fast browser, but lacks add-ons. I usually use RoboForm - but not, of course with Edge!
