I am new to this and my grandfather's name was Ivan Urchenko and he came from Odessa,ukraine in the earky 1900's to Cortland New York. I know very little about his family except that he came from a large family of which he was one of the eldest. I am hoping to find other parts of my family who may have migrated to the united states or canada. Urchenko is not a common name in this country. If you have any information please reply.

I have not checked this in awhile and I don't know if Urchenko is a common name in the Ukraine but I do know that my grandfather Ivan came from Odessa and had many brothers and sisters and did communicate with some of his family in the 1950's when commucation was allowed.He came through Philadephia to New York in the early 1900's. I however do not know any of his siblings names but I do have a picture of his parents and afew of his siblings. I would love to communicate more with you and see if we have a connection.
