Child workhouse look-up request

I am hoping to find someone who may be able to help me locate a record for my family.

Elizabeth Anna Young (3 July 1864-6 June 1943)
Thomas Young (1868-?)
Charles Young (1870-?)

From what I can tell, their father (Thomas Young 1840-1871) died in 1871 before the census was taken. Their mother (Elizabeth Ann Young, nee Down 1848) appears to have abandoned the children and they were sent to Limehouse Children's Establishment (Limehouse Workhouse/Stepney Workhouse).

It apparently closed in 1793 and Elizabeth was sent to South Metropolitan District School at Banstead.

In 1874 she was sent to Canada on the ship the Sarmatian as part of the British Home Children Group (I have documentation of this from Canada).

Her mother is seen living with an uncle (Josias G. Dwight) in 1881 and a brother (Henry W Down) in 1891 and a nother brother (Hubert Vincent Down) in 1901 based on the census I have found.

I am searching for any record of the children and possibly the parents as well if any more information can be found. Especially to confirm the arrival of the children and reasons for arrival to the workhouses (ie found/abandoned/orphan) and possibly reason for departure (ie, claimed, of age, hired to work etc). I can't find any information about Elizabeth's little brothers or the mother (after 1901).

I live in Canada and therefore am wondering if anyone in England would have access to the records to search for these children at the workhouses or on this family. Anything you can find would be GREATLY appreciated.

I can provide more information about relatives if more is needed.

Thank you SOOOO much!!! I was able to see it and it confirms what I suspected.

I believe her brothers may be have been moved to 18 Stepney Causeway run by Dr. Barnardo. I found possible records of them arriving in Canada years after their sister in separate groups run by this man. It seems possible since this location would have been around the corner from Limehouse so when it closed they may have been moved there when Elizabeth was sent to South Metropolitan district school in Banstead.

It does appear I'll have to pay. It also means I can't gain information about them as they are not direct descendants and it is unlikely that the information will be available though Ancestry if the company itself requires such a high cost to search for information. Thank you so much for your help.

You don't by any chance have any idea of where i might find the record for the South metro. School do you?
