John B.Court md. Elizabeth May August 22,1853. John was son of Nicholas Court. Elizabeth May was sister of my Ann May Whyler. Have pictures (identity unknown) from Ohio sent to Ann Whyler in California. Need proof that John May was father of Elizabeth, Ann and other sister (-?)md. Malkmus. in Ohio. Understand father was Wagonmaster on trips to California. Any help?

I am researching the ancestors of Matilda Mary (Court) Fleck. Matilda was a daughter of John and Elizabeth (May/Mae) Court. I have found where Elizabeth May, was a native of Weiswampach, Luxembourg and came with her parents from Germany in her girlhood days. I believe that Elizabeth's parents were John and Mary May of Ballville Township, Sandusky, Ohio. It would appear that the John May's immigrated between 1840 and 1850 census since I did not find John in the 1840 census. However, I did not see an Ann May in the Ballville 1850 census?

I found where John May's estate was probated but I have not had a chance to see the documents.

I have confirmed that the parents of Elizabeth (May/Mai) Court/Kurth were Jean/John May/Mai and Margarita Relles. Margarita died before Jean/John immigrated America, with his three daughters, settling in Ballville Township, Sandusky County, Ohio. Elizabeth's sister Mary married August Malkmus and had a large family in Sandusky County and her sister Anna married John Weyler who was born in England and they removed to California. All three May/Mai daughters were born in Weiswampach, Clervaux, Luxembourg. The widower Jean/John May/Mai married a second time after moving to Ohio to Mary (?) between 1850 and 1860.

I am working on the Court/Kurth side of this family. John Court/Kurth's parents were Hubert Kurth b. 19 Apr 1790 Scheuerhof, Canach, Luxembourg d. 14 Sep 1831 Lenningen, Luxembourg and Elisabeth Schumacher b. 31 Mar 1797 Lenningen, Luxembourg. I would be interested in exchanging information about this family.
