Particularly interested in information on Sarah Lucille Bliss, born Sarah Lucille Curnow on May 8, 1912. She died Feb. 3, 1937--I believe in Whitehall.

Just for giggles, are you related to a Toivo Haanpaa that lived in Billings, Montana and died in 1984?
I'm searching for anyone in his family, but haven't found anyone yet. His two brothers lived in Minnesota and Wisconsin.

Yes!? My Grandpa Emil Haanpaa had a brother Toivo and one named Erho!? My mother was his only child.

I can't tell you how thrilled I am to hear from you! I have been looking for your family members for a long time. I'm at work right now, using my home address, but I will get my stuff together and put it down on a message tonight.

Sanna Pihlaja Haanpaa was my great grandmother, Matilda Mattila's, sister. There is another sister, Maria Sophia Makynen, along with their parents, Matti & Sanna Pihlaja, buried in the Greenwood Cemetery, Virginia, MN. I live a few miles from there.

My mother wants to know if your parents/grandparents lived in Fintown? She remembers visiting family as a girl...and thinks it was there.
