Atkin family of Yorkshire, England C.19

Please reply if you have any information about Atkin families in Yorkshire, or if you see a possible connection to my family below.

My 3 x great grandmother was Eliza Atkin, b. 1816 in Thorne, Yorkshire. She married Stephen Webster in 1845 in the City of York and they had 4 children. Her parents were Thomas Atkin and Hannah Shaw who married in 1808 in Snaith, Yorkshire. Her siblings were Martha, Thomas, Hannah and William, all also born in Thorne. I have not yet been able to trace the family any further back, however there were other Atkin families in the area who might have been related. Please reply if you think you might be able to help.

The Atkin name is so common these days that
connection to any of them is very likely
no matter how the connection is worked out.
In my own area of New Zealand alone there
are 20 Atkin names in the telephone directory,
73 Atkins and innumerable Atkinson. Not one of
these families is known personally to my own
family but the connection would be there if we
took the time to look into it. This is in a
country with under 4,000,000 population !!!
Who knows how many there must be in England.
Good luck with your rearch.
