In the Spring 2005, Vol. 29, No. 4 issue of Footprints in Marion County, page 31, the descendants of Jacob England are listed. Under Generation 2, Sarah England married David F. Tate, the son of Samuel Tate and Sarah Faulkner. Samuel and Sarah Faulkner Tate are my 5th grandparents. Would the person who submitted the article (or anyone else) have information about my Tate ancestors. I have some information, but I'm always interested in learning more.

I too am related through Samuel Tate and Sarah Faulkner Tate. My mom and I went to Mulberry Grove, IL last September and found Sarah's grave. My part of the family comes from Samuel and Sarah's son Owen then William J. and my great grandfather Arthur Owen Tate. I'd love to exchange information. I really looking for family stories and an idea of who these people were and what they did.

I am also related thru Samuel Tate and Sarah Faulkner thru their son Samuel Jr., went to mulberry grove cemetery several years ago but couldn't find anything, glad you did.
Have reached a dead end of sorts in NC for Robert Tate. I have an approx. location of their farm (if correct)west of Winston Salem near Yadkin. Want to visit there someday to research.

Sarah Faulkner Tate, her daughter Sarah Tate Mattingly, Sarah's husband and her daughter are all buried in Mulberry Grove Cemetery. I have pictures of the tombstone that I can send you if you like.

hi, i have attached several photos. There is a Tate family reunion the last Sunday in August in Illinois. I have attanded several and it was fun to meet everyone. Most attendees are relatives of Levin Wiley Tate and his wife Sarah Whitman, and their children Otis and John Emory (my gfather). If interested let me know and I'll send you a link to contact. Photos attached-Levin Wylie Tate from about 1865 and a photo of their tombstones. They are in the Xenia Cemetery in Illinois
