I have some information on the Jeffrey/Holcomb connection.
I am a descendant of John and Ann O'Dell Neal through their son Jonathan who m. Elizabeth Jane Kincaid. Jonathan's son
Marshall Bird Neal is my great grandfather. Chessie Holcomb is a descendant of Jonathan's sister, Rachel.

have see this name connected with a search on shadrick jeffrey.. it is believed tha shadrick is my great great grand father and would like to know more.
i know he was in the 7th wva calvery and is buried in brickmore cemetary. but when i email roger at the email address here i got it back..

Shadrick Jeffrey is an ancestor of my cousin Dollie Johnson Propps. I have him married to Mary Jane Hall June 13, 1870 in Clay Co., WV.

Hi Roger:

Dollie is actually my cousin-in-law. Her husband Steve Propps is my first cousin. Our mothers were sisters (McKinney's). I believe you sent me a death cert on a Johnson, but I can't find it now. Part of Dollie's ancestry that I had wrong.

I have Dollie, James Dencil "Dink", John Johnson and then I am not sure about his father. I had someone I thought was right, but I deleted him because I wasn't sure. Can you fill me in on them.

I'm the great-great-great (did I forget one?)-granddaughter of Shadrick. My grandfather was Wilbert "Wibb" Lee Moore and he and his full-brother Elvie were the sons of Howard Moore and Ocie/Ocy Jeffery, daughter of Shadrick &Mary Jane. The boys were raised by their uncle John Moore and Amanda Bell Daniels Moore.
