My wife is trying to find out about her ggrandfather Marion Massey. Her father was Jesse James (Bud) Massey and her grandfather was Bernice Lee Massey. They were all from Hart Co. We cant find Marion in the 1850 or 1860 census. Has anyone heard of him? Thank You.

Do you know where your Marion Massey is buried? I don't see him listed in the book "Cemeteries of Hart County, Georgia," by SRVGS.
Do you have an obituary for him? If he lived and died in Hart County, I could look to see if he had an obituary.

I am not related, just trying to help out.

If you go to Royston, Ga. and go south on hiway U29, just outside of the town there is a little church on the right side of the road. I think it is a Baptist church, Go into the parking lot to the left of the church, near athe end of the parking lot there is a big oak tree and under neath this tree there are two unmarked graves. This where Marion and his wife Addie Ford are buried,
