Hi, I've managed to trace my Vose line back to 1798, when Edward Vose (my GGGG Grandfather) was christened on 20 May 1798, St Nicholas, Liverpool.

His parents are listed as Thomas Vose and Mary (Ellis) - does anyone have any further information on this couple?

Hi, I am trying to get further back from William Vose b. 1831 in St. Helens, Lancashire. Once you found your Edward, where did he lead? Hope to hear from you, these Voses are very elusive! cheers, nancy

I have come back to here as well. My GGgfather was Edward Mark Vose b Ireland while his father who I believe is this Edward b 1798 in Liverpool was serving with the Royal Sappers & Miners. But where to from here ? My Edward Mark married and emigrated to NZ but his brothers stayed in Kent and at least one was also in the Navy and or the Royal Sappers & Miners. I have death certificates for both f Edward mark's parents (1870 & 1892) I believe they had a son named George Ellis Vose who d in childhood circa 1838 as well as Charles, Henry, William, Augustus, Mary and Edward, and possibly another son John.
