My grandfather John was a tailor in Manhattan, NY He said he came from assorted places at different times Thurles, Curraheen, Drumboo. I have heard he came to New York with a Brother who worked in insurance but we do not have a name. I have found citizen papers, census reports with my father, Stephen, and a marriage certificate with anna simmons although she always said her maiden name was fitzsimmons. If this sounds familiar to anyone I would love to hear from you.

The dates I know are John Keating born 1865 Ireland died 1926 Watsonville, California. My grandmother Annie Fitzsimmonss was born in Ireland 1870 and died in 1939 Watsonville, California. My father Stephen was born 1897 Manhattan, New York and died 1950 Los Angeles, California. The information I have found is pretty consistent on dates but birthplace seems to be different places in Ireland at different times. I have paid different genealogy companies in Ireland and found no sure record of either one.
